Cafe Neon: Fantasy on Greek Songs and Dances

Instrumentation2222 / 2200 / timpani* and strings [doubles on triangle and 2 suspended cymbals]
Length9 minutes
DifficultyBy way of comparison, less difficult than the piece which inspired it, Kodaly's "Galanta Dances." The brisk finale would be a healthy challenge for some community/student orchestras.
CommentsIn essence, a Greek incarnation of Kodaly's "Galanta Dances." Similar in form -- including a very prominent part for the orchestra's principal clarinet.
