| Comments | This programmatic, thematic, tonal, beautiful work is suitable for children centered programs, or for offering a wonderful alternative to Peter and the Wolf, Carnival of the Animals, etc. The story of a young princess going out on her own through an adventure in the forest with magical characters including a unicorn, a kitten transforming into a guardian tiger, and a sorceror. The piano solo part is written in a thirteen short pieces plus a cadenza, and collected into a book of solos so the student can learn them as if studying literature as usual. Accompaniment available as second piano or synthesized score. |

| Comments | This is an optimistic musical travel diary of northern Italy. The theme is sublime and memorable, and transforms throughout the work. The orchestration is similar to Gershwin, and the piece would suite a program to substitute for the Concerto in F or American in Paris. Nice big, rhythmic, upbeat attractive finish. |
